It’s starting to occur to me that IG Reels might not be the best place to source all my horror recommendations…
I must have seen about a dozen posts suggesting this was one of the best found footage films of all-time. I was assured the twist would “blow my mind.”
Whatever, man.
This was a pointless movie. And that’s coming from someone who has made found footage a core part of his personality. I guess the twist does kind of come out of left field, but it really doesn’t add anything to the story and they move on from it almost immediately.

Where the fuck did the Tooheys go those rat-bastards?!? Did they murder Alice? Do they ever find them??? What in the actual fuck?
Here we have another movie that had so much potential. I mean, look at that poster! Does that not evoke a primal fear in you? Yet the film itself has none of that impact. The biggest scares were a couple out-of-focus figures in the back of still camera shots that are intentionally misleading.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good mockumentary. And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t spend the first half of this movie on the edge of my seat. But after the 15th still frame of ~maybe Aliceeeee ooooh~ lurking in the background I just completely lost interest.
I went back and forth on what to rate this one, but it should be no surprise that it ain’t gonna be good. Maybe if the Toohey scandal amounted to literally anything this movie could’ve redeemed itself.
